    Hi,

Sorry If this has been asked before. Does anyone know if Ryanair allow a suit bag as the extra small carry on luggage? Or is it handbags or bust?

A suit bag in some instances would be bigger than the "big" hand luggage cases :D

What I have always done in the past is fold suit bags in two in the hand luggage

I can't imagine them seeing them as that extra "small" bit of hand luggage

I've always found the best way to carry a suit is to wear it.

Wear the jacket and pack the trousers as normal in hand luggage.

You can sort out the trousers with an iron when you arrive and the jacket will fare better worn than packed.

If you're a normal jeans & t-shirt kinda guy then you've also got the added bonus of rocking a retro 80s look for your flight ;-)

Whatever you do, do not iron your suit trousers!

I use my suit bag as my carry on, fit the suit and the rest of your stuff in there.

    Ditto for snow boarding bag.

Er, why? I've done this many times. Obviously, I turned them inside out beforehand and covered with a damp handkerchief before sharpening the seams.

I didn't mention this is my earlier response but then again the original post was about travelling with a suit and not a query about how best to iron one.
