    Lads,

I'm starting to look at jobs in London so all advice is welcome.

What are the best websites to search for banking jobs?

What are the best websites to use to look for apartments to rent? House sharing etc?

What part of London would be regarded as the best part to live in?

I would rank as bank officer at this stage in my career- ie 2 years experience- what would that position be called in the uk?

What are the best banks to work for?
What kind of salary would I expect to earn?

Any other useful info is welcomed...

I used to work for both Aib and Boi in London, about 10 years ago so I can't give you up to date info such as salary. However you state you have 2 years experience, if you work for Aib or Boi than speak to your Hr dept as bout a transfer, easier than looking for a new job.

If not apply to these any way in UK, they are always on the look out for experienced staff. Grade for these two is most likely Bank Official Grade.

Alternative use temp employment agencies that specialise in banking. I had a friend that loved the temp life style, working a few months than travel a few.

London is so big it would be hard to advise on where to live, I chose North Finchley in North London for the Irish community which meant it was easy to make friends. Best place to find accommodation back then was Loot classified as newspaper, it's on line now Loot.com, I can't link as considered a newbie.

It's the best I can advise as it's over 10 years since I was there, however I can say moving to London was a great experience and we'll worth the risk.

    Good luck
