The Position of Primary Principal

    Hi all,

There's been a lot in the media recently regarding the position of primary school principal and much of it has focussed on the stress and difficulty of the job, especially for new or less experienced principals.

I'm just curious to hear from those less experienced principals as to how they're getting on. Is it really an eternally stressful job to be avoided or is it worthwhile for a younger teacher to be looking positively towards when the time might come?

I'm a teacher and while I haven't thought about being a principal up to now, I'm considering some masters programmes and suchlike to prepare for the day down the line when I might want to move in that direction.
