    Originally meant to be 200k

    but the whole wet belt thing brought it down to 180k

    even so it's recommended to get it done even earlier because they are breaking sooner than expected.

    I'd say 150k at the absolute most !

    The 1.6 is 160000 miles.

    It's 200k km or 125k miles not 160k miles. Ford originally had an interval of 240k km but it's been dropped to 200k km for the last good few years. I personally wouldn't leave it that long and most ford garages will recommend 150k km. in an ideal world the belt will last for the 200k km but it is a long time for a piece of rubber no matter what way you look At it. that's your choice to make but definitely don't go by the 160k miles recommendation wouldn't be a hope it would last that long 200k km is the offical ford interval.

    10 years well that's the ford recommendation. Which again seems very long for a rubber belt but that's what they recommend anyway.

    Personally I wouldnt let it go more than 10 years.

    its only rubber after all
