Does anyone know if a 1999 Northern reg Corsa driver's seat (3-door) will fit a Southern reg Corsa of the same year? I was looking at one in a breaker's yard and they look different

It depends on the spec of the car it came out of. Both Opel and Vauxhall probably had different trim levels with different seat fabric designs. The seats physically probably fit but the fabric patterns could be different.

I wish that was all that was different, but it seems the floor mountings are different too.

Sometime there are difference in trim etc, with the same trim and model of car even in the same year or production run, there can be minor modification in some components. Have you compared the VIN numbers.
I have personal never heard of replacing a drivers seat. Is it being replaced because of wear. Are you planning on changing the seat yourself or taking it to a garage.
