I dunno if there is a thread like this but don't see one. I have a couple of horses which I love but haven't seen on the race course in over a year and can't seem to find any info on them.

    1. Sparkling Portrait

    2. Qaraaba

The idea of this thread is for you to put up the horse name and hope someone can shed some light on to what happened them!

Anyone any clue about these two?

Qaraaba - retired after a ligament issue. Found this on horseracingnation.com

No comments recorded there re Sparkling Portrait.

Trying to dig something out on Sparkling Portrait but nothing much.

    Before 2013 season:
    Sparkling Portrait
He's another who had a little setback but he's been back cantering for six weeks. He's now rated 102 and I'm not sure if there's a handicap in him off that mark but he's the sort who could easily progress again. It will be another month or six weeks before he's ready but there aren't many races for him anyway before May.

May not have recovered from the injury he had that ruled him out of the end of the 2012 season.

There was a thread before like this

Injured. Came back a few years ago over hurdles and was pulled up.

    Retired.

Very difficult to get rid of unwanted horses, thousands of them in the country currently. Most have no value and even disposing of them costs around £200 I believe

What happened to Classical Twist? I was at a funeral a few years back and was told that this was going to be a wonder horse. Hasn't been seen in a year.

A favourite of mine, used to back it every year in the Grand National, Iznogoud, seems it last ran in 2007 from what I can see.

I tweeted Seamus Durack about Qaraaba when I started this thread. He's just wrote back to me about Qaraaba.

@SeamusDurack: She was sold to race in USA. Won 2, got injured. Now a broodmare

    Pretty cool
