Flies

About 2 weeks ago thousands (millions?) of flies appear to have hatched and taken up residence from the Anchor through and beyond South Beach where they appear to occupy the space where the beach meets the land (certainly along the walk along by St Davids).

I know these 'beach' flies were present on the North beach (north end in particular) but I don't recall them being along this stretch of coast before.

Wonder did the winter storms move the eggs (or something!) along with the sands to Cove/South Beach.

Maybe the sand martins will feast on them when/if they arrive.
