    A ridiculous sum!!!!

I actually roughly calculated this recently and it was disgusting...

Sky (with Movies & Sport) - €71 pm
    UPC - approx €26 pm
    Netflix - €7.99 pm

Eircom home phn & broadband - €50 pm

Total - about €155 per month on Phone, TV & Broadband.

    Shocking!

We share €40 for the internet at home (fibre optic connection:cool:) and I spend €10 every month for pay-as-you-go internet/calls on my phone.

€44 UPC for internet. Phone and TV come with that but I don't really use either.

€20 phone credit to get the unlimited data allowance.

    Total €64. That's pretty reasonable.

I am living in Chiang Mai Thailand where most things are cheap but not all .
For cable TV i pay the equivalent of 8 Euro a month .(many Western TV stations included )
For internet ,fast enough for youtube and TV etc ,16 euro a month .For Phone i have Pay as you go ,which works out at about 10 euro a month .So totals E34 a month

My employer pays for my broadband and my mobile phone (calls and data). I don't have a TV package as I don't watch that much TV, and will just stream something if I do want to watch it.

    So €0.

    Sky 30
    Eircom 40
    Emobile 20

I usually have everything done by direct debit and paperless billing, but

UPC for broadband and home phone is about €50.

Sky Multi-room is about €50 for the two boxes with no movies or sports.

And about €50 per month on my work phone, the odd €5 top-up on my personal phone (My wife won't switch networks to Three from Meteor, and the young lad is on Meteor for the free texts for €10 per month, comes out of his allowance).

At the moment its 75 for Sky Phone tv and broadband, gonna be swithcing to Eircom who can provide an actual internet connection in my area now compared to Sky's ****e even though they use the same lines as eircom they refuse to implement fibre speeds.

So once we get Eircom will be canceling sky tv as well as broadband and then with eircom and netflix will just be paying €57 a month and will still be able to watch exactly what i want without cowtowing to stupid tv schedules anymore. For any sports ill just stream it, might get a saorview box as well, will see.

You have Netflix, a dodgey streaming service for sports and an internet connection capable of supporting them and you're still lining Rupert Murdochs pockets?

Anyone still paying for Sky Movies needs their head examined.

Mine comes in at under 100 (including Netflix, filesharing subscription).

I'm a sucker for picture quality. No streaming service comes close to Sky/BT Sports in HD. The dodgy streaming service is only for stuff that's not televised live here.
