hi folks just looking for some info regarding our rent supplement.
our landlady told us this week that our rent will increase from 900 to 1100 from july.
our rent supplement cap is 975 as we have two boys.
will we get an increase in supplement or will we be made homeless as there is no two bed apts for under 1000 anymore.

    any advice appreciated guys.

No you will not get an increase ,

You're going to have to start searching for something cheaper or futher afield from where your living currently

Hi folks, well regarding our rent supplement cap and our landlords intention to increase the rent.
Focus ireland told us to try and negotiate the rent with the landlord and also minister jan o Sullivan has requested that the department for social protection to show flexibility in rent caps for certain situations as it's not in anyone's interests to have thousands of families potentially homeless.
