DART to Tara St or Pearse, then walk 5-10 mins would be my choice. More reliable timewise anyway.

the Dublin Bus numbers 9, 16 and 122, which have stops on O'Connell Street, go up Aungier Street.

Aungier Street is about a 15 minute walk from O'Connell Street.

Dublin bus routes 29A[runs every 10 to 20 minutes depending on the time of day] or 32[runs at least every hour] will take you to Marlborough Street and then you can get a bus from O'Connell Street to Aungier Street or you could if the time of day suited get the 32X to D'Olier Street

Where about in baldoyle are you?

The 15 stops on Harcourt street, about 5 minutes walk from DIT. That goes to the roundabout at donaghmede before heading to clongriffin.

If it is within walking distance then you don't need a second bus and if not sure you could switch to a 29a in donaghmede.

    Options are:

Bus: 29a and 32 to Marlborough Street and walk or take a 9, 16 or 122 from O'Connell Street; 32x to D'Olier Street and either walk or 9/16/122, alternatively change to a 14 or 15 at Fairview and walk from Kildare Street/St Stephen's Green

Train: DART from Bayside to Connolly and change to 14 or 15 bus to Kildare Street/St Stephen's Green
