BTEA - summer work

Hey guys, I just finished a 1year level 5 course in which I recieved BTEA. I have applied for a level 6 in another college through the cao but am still waiting to hear back, as I applied late. I'm back on JA now, but would really like to find a job for the summer. Will I no longer be entitled to BTEA in september if I do?…

Or will the fact I haven't actually been accepted to the course yet effect my eligibility?

Hi there. You can still apply for BTEA but to get it granted you need a letter of acceptance from the college saying your doing the course from such a date to whenever. You will continue to get dole until the BTEA hatch in Limerick processes your details. This took a few weeks for me when I started college.
