I have been keeping an eye out for a while for a cattle box. I was looking at a 12-6 with dividing gates etc. I thought the nugent box is the way to go but the price is a bit much at close to 6k. I know there are plenty of other trailers out there but I'm not in the know. Would appreciate any advice.

Was talking to Peter from turf mac. Similar box he will sell for 4.5k + vat which works out at 5.5k. He says his tralier is better as he would as it has a tank. The search continues.

All depends on your budget I suppose and how much you are willing to spend and the work you would have for it.

You have to compare like for like. There's a reason cheap trailers are cheap trailers and dear trailers are dear trailers. Steel is expensive as are hitches, suspension and other fittings.

Mc corrys in derrylin in Fermanagh was the cheapest place I could buy a 12x6 nugent about 2 years ago, very easy to deal with

I know a guy in kerry selling 12* 6 nugent box never used, is willing to take a nice cut in it, has all receipts and guarantee

2 Williams here both 12*6. One bought new 15 years ago wheels outside, other bought 2nd hand 4 years ago for 1200 wheels under. Couldn't fault them.

The ramp rattles a bit but nothing a little TLC wouldn't cure

If that man in Kerry still has that box I would have a look at it. Thinking of heading up the north but Kerry is a lot closer.
