Does an Irish Subpoena hold any weight for a British citizen living in England for a Civil case? Do they have to attend?

What about an irish domiciled uk citizen who is abroad for the duration of the time from the subpoena to the court date?

Or an irish domiciled Irish citizen who is abroad again during the duration of the time form the summons to the court date?
