    If you were here a month ago you would have heard plenty of it .
    Maybe the beef lads might make more of the calving than the dairy people because they would be using bigger bulls that might require more assistance

    second last cow calved today monster calf, i hurt my ankle, calf was dead cow cant get up

    the whole day was crap, but tomorrow is another day, gave cow 2 bottles of calcium, her back leg looks damaged, she is trying to get up which is good

    Calf is 100% of output from suckler farm, and therefore to increase output are bred for size and conformation leading to harder calving.50% of calves on a dairy farm are a by product and the rest , heifer calves are normally more easily calved.

    No more than suckler men can't grow grass the dairy men can't calve cows. Plus if we have animals like friesains or jerseys we tell nobody about them aswell
