Seems to be lots of dates at that price. When's the best time of year for Japan?

I don't think that price is special. :(

Going to Japan in Sept, checked for best price / shortest travel time etc on momondo.com. Flying Turkish Airlines for around €650/head via Istanbul. :)

Did it before, Turkish are very good & 30kg baggage allowance. :D:D

May is always nice with the cherry blossom parties, it can get pretty hot during the summer.

Japan is good all year round!

Turkish tend to have quite long stopover times though

It certainly is. And the climate varies from Hokkaido to the Ryukan Islands (Okinawa etc).

I'm flying out this weekend - yay!

Not really. Left Dublin 16:55, arrived Istanbul midnight (local), connecting time less than 1:30. :)

Boeing 737-800 DUB-IST had good food, also full video/music, better than on some transatlantic flights. Same onwards.

We always use Turkish Airlines when going to China to visit family, would highly recommend, lovely good, great service, no complaints at all, if they are competitive would use them in a heartbeat.

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

If you haven't joined Miles & Smiles already, take a look at signing up to Aegean Airlines Miles & Bonus program.

There's a 1k miles sign-up bonus and you achieve Star Alliance Silver after only 4k. The best part is you'll achieve Star Alliance Gold after just 20k miles with Aegean and there's no requirement to requalify every 12 months - gold status lasts for 3 years.
