Hi all,

Would just like a bit of help! I'm trying to meet somebody and everyone is telling me online dating is the best way to go but I've trying it for a good few months now with no success! I've been on Plenty of Fish and Tinder (which seems a bit shallow as its all based on pictures!) and have had no luck! Am I doing something wrong or am I on the wrong sites??

In my profile for POF I just keep it short and sweet, tell them my interests, briefly what my personality is like and what I'm looking for on the site. Do I need to be more witty or am I just on the wrong site?

Some friends have suggested that if I go on a paid site I'll have more luck as paying for it means people take it more seriously. What do you think? And what sites would you recommend? I don't want to pay a subscription fee for a cr@ppy site! I know you can't guarantee that if I join such and such a site I'm going to have success but just wondering if anybody has any suggestions.

You can send a request to join OLD forum for some tips. It works for some people better than others. You need a good picture, something that stands out and a good profile. It can be a lot of work for very little reward sometimes.
