First things first OP, are you, or have you considered seeing a counsellor over this? Where you are is not an easy place to be, and talking it out with someone experienced in the field might put you on the right path forward...

When I feel sad, I watch some of the Buddhists films on you tube. It highlights what a negative impact our thought have on our life. Much like cbt theory. Good luck!

I got depression when my mum passed on (I had already lost my dad when I was younger). It was a vicious cycle after that, getting in and out of it.
It's funny though up until my friend mentioned to me that she was depressed and stated how she felt one day, it then hit me out of nowhere that I had not had a 'down' moment for 2 years straight! That felt good, great even!
Now I usually have bad days, but thank god that's just all it is. Bad days, and not months at a time, just like normal people have good and bad days.
I know when you are in that up down cycle, you feel like it will never end, but believe me, it will at one point. Just hang in there. That's all I did. Take it one day at a time, again that's all I did. Before I realised it up until my friend mentioned, one day at a time is now a few great years. Hang in there!

    Hi Petal Rocks

I'm sorry to hear you are feeling this way.. I can relate to you very much and how something, even small things can just trigger a low mood.. Its not nice to be in that state of mind.. I know it well..

I looked in the rules and it didn't say anywhere that you cant do this so correct me if I am wrong. But myself and a group of people have started a blog to help anyone who are going through a tough time. Both with depression and suicidal thoughts. Everyone involved in the blog has personal experience and wants to offer some hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel and have all come through their depression. There is a new post each day focusing on different tips and tools on how to make yourself feel better and get through the dark days.. and inspiring stories aswell.

Take a look if you like. the url is http ://daretolivesos.blogspot.ie/ Maybe it can help someone and instill a bit of hope.

Hope you are feeling better x x
