    What an amazing young man.
Very brave and kept a smile till the very end.
3 million is unbelievable and his parents should be really proud of what he achieved.

Horrible for a young man to be taken at that age.
    Inspiring is not the word.
    RIP.

This is the message his Mum has just put on his facebook update:

My heart is bursting with pride but breaking with pain for my courageous, selfless, inspirational son who passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 14th May. The ongoing support and outpouring of love for Stephen will help greatly at this difficult time, in the same way as it helped Stephen throughout his journey. We all know he will never be forgotten, his spirit will live on, in all that he achieved and shared with so many.
    Love,
    His mom x

I've only read about Stephen and followed his facebook updates but for some reason I am welling up here reading this news. Just as well it's lunch time and I can get out of the office.

Well done Stephen, his attitude should be an inspiration to us all.

How sad. At least he was able to make something good come of it before he died.

    RIP Steven.

I started following Stephen's story a few weeks ago. A couple of weeks ago I got some bad news, news that I had been dreading for two years, news that I thought would make me fall apart.

Stephen's positivity has been an inspiration to me. He made me realise how truly lucky I am. He put everything into perspective. I've had the happiest two weeks because everyday I thought about Stephen and how positive he was about everything despite what he was going through.

He really has changed my whole outlook on life had it is devastating that he has died.

His family must be so proud of him and I'm so glad that his last few weeks were as amazing as they were.

i was gutted to hear of his death today, i had hoped that after coughing up a tumour and being sent home, he'd be able to carry on for a couple of months. As someone said, his positive attitude was an inspiration and puts things into perspective. He did so much within the short time that he had left to live and i think we should learn from that.

A great wee lad who turned something so dark and negative into a positive. More of a man than I'll ever be. May he RIP.

Indeed, unless you're a Hollywood playboy going up in flames in a supercar, no one on here will bother.
