Baxi 24HE Never serviced

Parents had new CH system put in in Spring 2010 with a Baxi 24HE boiler. It's never been serviced since. I'll be remedying that situation forthwith as obviously there were/are safety implications.

Just wondering however if there were also cost/efficiency implications too.

i.e. Has not servicing, worn out parts that'll now need to be replaced whereas they wouldn't had the boiler been yearly serviced.

Has not servicing affected efficiency and needlessly resulted in higher gas bills?

It depends if the boiler was commissioned properly or not. Was the system powerflushed before the boiler was installed?

The whole system was brand new. i.e. New pipes and rads. The house was gutted for renovation and no component of the old system was reused.

Fair enough. Do you know if an inhibitor was used? Sometimes you'll see a sticker on the boiler saying fernox or sentinel or some other brand
