07 VW GOLF - Central Locking Drivers side issue

Hi, wonder if anyone out there can add any guidance. i have an 07 Golf 1.6, working great, regularly serviced etc. The only problem is the central locking on the drivers side keeps jamming.

It began on the driver passenger door about a year ago, you would unlock with the button on the key and all doors would open except that one. Then through some trial and error i figured out if i primed the the handle, so basically open the drivers window, lock all doors with central locking, pull the handle on the inside of the driver passenger door around 10 times then click the central locking button, bingo, all doors open. happened 2 times out of every 10 times locking the car, took it to a dealers to get checked out, of course once there, couldn't replicate the lock and they convinced me they stripped the door down, looked at the lock and all was perfect. Of course once home that very same day, happens again. Anyway, i've lived with it, passed the NCT, etc.

Now in the past few weeks the driver passenger door and the driver door are not opening when i press the central locking button, you hear all the right noises but they remain locked, i can open with the key in the lock but would really like to get it sorted. was hoping someone on here may have had a similar experience and offer some suggestion as to the problem and how to solve.

Sounds like the control module is shot. You should get a diagnostic done on the car as your first port of call and take it from there.
