Have sky taken measures to prevent outputting from a laptop to a tv?
Ive been trying it today but it gives me an error message.
BUT, it works perfectly on the laptop alone..

    Anyone else experiencing this?

If you were trying to watch the soccer like I was, it was giving an error probably due to the shear numbers watching sky sports.
It wouldn't allow me to sign in, giving an error indication or try again in 5 minutes but it did let me view the channels I wanted to see sky sports 1&2 (even thought I wasn't signed in) but it would not let me view a sky movies channel (not on my package).
People who opted for the nowtv day package could also not view and were offered a full refund.
So to take a guess at your query, I would imagine the volume of people using skygo and nowtv overloaded their systems and so it wasn't that the hdmi link causing the error, rather the system itself was overloaded.

It worked perfectly on the laptop though.
