Magnet and Openvpn Issue

    Hi,

Wondering if anyone else has the same issue as I am having with magnets service. I am on an eircom line, but signed up with magnet for fibre. I think the fibre only goes as far as the exchange and the rest is over dsl most likely.

Anyway, the problem is that if I login to an openvpn account the connection is slow and invariably causes my router (technicolor TG589vn) to reboot. This is only with openvpn (pptp works fine) and happens whether my client machine is windows or *nix.

Any ideas? could this be a configuration issue with my router?

    Thanks,
    Tont

Just to close this. I bought my own router and plugged a cable from the Lan port on the magnet modem into the wan port on my own router, and setup the subnet on the new router to be what I wanted. I can now use VPN with no issues, with all devices going through my own router.
