    Hello,
A few months ago I bought parts and assembled a custom gaming PC. Sadly though after putting all the parts together i tried loading up the bios but all that came up on my monitor was "In power save mode press any key on keyboard or move mouse" of course i tried pressing keys and moving the mouse but to no avail. I would like to add that all the led's come on and also the fans turn on. I have tried finding out what could be wrong but i'm really not sure. These are all the parts of my PC.
    Item Price
Sharkoon VS3-Standard Rot, ohne Netzteil €22.20
XFX PRO450W Core Edition Full Wired Power Supply €43.45
    ASUS M5A78L-M LX3, Sockel AM3+, mATX €38.98
    AMD FX-6300 Prozessor, Boxed, Sockel AM3+ €97.39
    2 x 4GB G.Skill PC3-12800U CL11-11-11-28 €69.74
    WD Blue 1TB 6Gb's €51.22
    MSI R9 270 GAMING 2G, AMD Radeon R9 270, 2GB DDR5 €159.43
    Samsung SH-224DB schwarz €14.95

I am using quite an old monitor and keyboard which are both dell from an old family computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, AChomp

First just make sure everything is getting power so check the 24 pin + 4 pin motherboard connectors are in fully inserted, safest bet is just to plug them out and in again.

Then make sure the 6 pin connector for the graphics card is connected and again it's best to plug it out and in again.

If that doesn't help try taking out the card completely and running from the onboard graphics output on the motherboard to rule out the graphics card.

Thanks for the help it turns out there was something wrong with the old monitor which is fine because I was planning on getting a new one anyway.
