hi my milk protien as been very high for me over the last few weeks at 3.60. over the last week its slowly crept down to 3.54.

i say there in good grass and i not putting them under too much pressure to graze out.

any ideas why its going down is it the colder wet weather ? anyone else seen a drop ?

    What's your calving spread?

Cows rise in protein after calving for a few weeks and drop as volume increases till later in the season when they will rise as volume declines.

If you had a lot of April calvers, it could be an explanation. I'm taking it they're on good LEAFY grass?

Similar to you. They have been rising till this week and now they've slipped from 3.54 back to 3.44 and 3.45. Either cold wet weather or covers are a little heavy. Unsure
