GMP Course/Training

    Hello
I'm currently in a microbiology laboratory in dublin and well, to put it bluntly, I hate it! I want to get out of here and have been looking online for other jobs. However all the jobs I've come across are in pharmaceutical labs and all seem to need GMP experience. I did not study any GMP in university and don't have any experience of it where I work now. I would like to find a course I could do in dublin so I have that on my cv. I found a website that is based in cork and offers a day course, but the phone number just goes to voicemail and their website doesn't seem to be updated recently, it's gmp.ie - does anyone know if this course is still available?
I know there is a part time course in IT Tallaght, is this any good, it's €2000 and I don't really have that money at the moment.
Any other information on gmp courses or training days in ireland would be greatly appreciated!
Also, would studying it myself online work? Anyone know any good websites for that option?

    Thanks again

I'm not in the industry but I believe the Springboard courses offered by Innopharma cover this as well as other non chemistry specfic topics (QA/QC protocols, lean processing etc). As far as I know, they use a facility at NIBRT in UCD which is basically a scaled down manufacturing facility for the practical work.

Apart from the Innopharma course, there are some other online springboard courses that cover various aspects of pharmaceutical production that might also be of interest. You need to be unemployed (claiming or just signing for credit) in order to be eligible.

    Phil
