What Classic you play now?

I had a craving for something... fun. I remembered that I bought this on last sale off GoG.com



I got Original one and Crusader one too. Great thing is it works in 1080p. Not just works, but it is scaled perfectly and looks great! Started a campaign and I am already on 7th mission. That game gets hard pretty fast!


So whats your classic fix?

Currently re-playing Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines again since getting it in the sale recently. Got the unofficial patch which fixed alot of the bugs etc so should be interesting to replay.

I'm in the middle of another Piranha Bytes run. Currently on the end game of Gothic 3 having done the first 2 and will move on to Risen 1 and 2. All with Risen 3 to look forward to in August which will undoubtedly get 50% reviews and I will lap it up. Some developers can't catch a break with the gaming journos but I don't really care.

I've pretty much always got a Baldurs Gate 2 run going. Tend to jump in and out quite regularly, trying new class and party combinations. Latest was an Archer, and i dropped some of my usual party (though i felt bad doing so). Currently have Minsc (of course) Keldorn, Tashia (mod), Imoen (story related) and Viconia. Jeheira was a bit of a bitch when i told her to bugger off, but i was sick of her ****.

Not going quite as goody goody this time, and will flirt with being neutral. In preparation for a full evil playthrough at some stage.

Find it tough being anything other than nice to the characters that i've spent so many hours playing with (bar Jaheira).

Have you tried the enhanced editions Kiith? I have played the originals with mods and so on and get the impression the enhanced versions do little more than the existing mods do bar some extra characters. Might be tempted to give them a go if they were on sale but the full price seems way too much.

Seriously though, i've not played the enhanced editions, though from what i've heard they don'd add a huge amount. An extra character and a few quests is all. I've added a few mods which already have more content than that. Tashia is pretty overpowered though, as she gets a pet summon which does crazy damage early on. Plus, i can run it with the widescreen mod at 1920x1080, which is great.

2 brilliant games imo did more for the Riddick-verse than the movies and comic did.
