    Guys..
Thinking of getting a 2nd hand agitator but have a few questions..

If our tank is 7ft will I get away with a 6ft agitator or does it need to match the tank exactly ??

The likes of the bottom bearing, how much play if any is ok on the shaft or would I even notice at the bottom of the shaft if it were gone..

Regarding gearboxes - any tell tale signs to look out for other than oil leaks ?

Bought a NC 3000 about 10 years ago, second hand. Has had no parts replaced on the pump in that time. Driveshaft got a cross once, that's it. If the Frame is sound, and there is oil in the gearbox, you should be fine. Bottom bearing is an easy fix, if needed. Check the hydraulic ram, as the threaded nipple on the bottom end, where the hydraulic hoseing fits can rust away, and if it gives up with the pump in a tank, you will need a loader to lift her out. Try and get one with a top fill valve fitted, can be very handy.
