    Doing something like that to a proper composite stock is very awkward but doable, with an injection moulded stock I'd say forget it.

    .22-250 would be short action, .270 would be a long action, so i am guessing its not really an option, unless you want to wind up with an ugly mess.

    My guess is that the hunter timber stock would be around 900-1000 grams ~2.2lbs
    The finn-light around 800 grams. ~1.76 lbs
