Basically the house has two sky accounts, one is an old account with the old white sky plus box and the second is an account with a new sky hd sky box. I have now cancelled to newer account due to some issues with packages. So I tried to use the card off the original account in the new sky box but It wont work.

Is there any way around this?

Ring Sky to pair the card with the newer box.

Is generally done easily? Would they not look for the newer box back as that account is cancelled?

After the 12 month minimum subscription period the box is yours.

I assume they won't pair it in that case unless you pay for the box, you could ring them and ask.

The box is yours from day one but if you break the contract early sky will require you to pay for the full contract period.

I broke the contract due to been missold the package they tried to charge me some early cancellation fee but I refused to pay it but eventually got talking to someone with some common sense and he waived the cancellation charges

Will give them a buzz tomorrow and try get the card and box matched up
