Clutch and flywheel are not faults but rather wear and tear items that need replacing eventually on all modern diesels when they come to the end of their natural life.

Common problems on these cars are the metal swirl flaps breaking off and getting sucked into the engine killing it, if they are not already replaced with blanks then get them done. Turbo breather filter should be replaced with the newer vortex shaped filter and still replaced every 3rd oil service. ABS/DTC units on these cars can give trouble, can vary from an faulty wheel ABS sensor to the module itself.

Any service history from when it was down here as 120k miles is low enough mileage for a 9 year old diesel car? Try and get it a quick inspection by a BMW dealer or a BMW specialist with good software as they can read the mileage from 3 locations in the car, the key, the odometer and the ECU.
