Sky cancellation

    Hi guys,

    I signed up with sky this month for TV Broadband and phone, however I feel like I got a bum deal. Since it is within a month I can cancel it with no penalty

    I went to carphone warehouse and they offered me a much better deal. Can I cancel the sky now and then go to carphone warehouse and buy the sky package from them? Is there any rules that prevent me from doing this?

    Ring Sky, head for the cancellations dept. Explain the better deal and ask if they will match/better it. Otherwise go through with the cancellation and sign up with your wife's name or Irish version of your name etc.

    There computer system will detect same bank account and fail it. However have seen a few people slip through the cracks...but its much harder these days and is classed as fraud by sky...so beware.

    It's a 14 day cooling off period AFAIK.

    14 days for activation of the service, if it was a combined service you can make the argument it was the last service ging active for the entire pack.

    Bewarned, you need to port your broadband over not cancel it unless you want weeks without broadband.
