Mate of mine works for rentokil and says they have never been so busy than over the past year. Says that they are seeing them in the cleanest of homes and that they are becoming cleverer and cleverer.

He was telling me about one house where the attic was full of them, the point of access was just under a roof tile and they were dragging food from outside in there. I asked him how the fcuk they would get onto roofs and he said they they can climb vertical walls as well as any spider and reminded me also of the old saying: 'like a rat up a drain pipe'.

Damn things give me the creeps.

Well, that settles it: that government are an evil shower of bastards, evicting an innocent god-fearing tax-paying recession-hit family rat like that. Shame on them!

There are families in Ireland who are so poor and hungry that they would have made a nourishing stew from that rat. Just goes to show out of touch the politicians are.

Apparently and I don't know how true this is but snakes are supposed to be good if you have a problem with rats. If I had a problem with rats in the attic I would fork out a few hundred euro for a pet a snake from a pet shop and let him loose in the attic.

Cats are great too. I have a pet cat and I love him. I swear to god he keeps mice and rats away. We had mice problems years ago until we got a cat.

Another interesting thing, if you have mice, you don't have rats and vice versa.

What do you get to get rid of the snake then?

    A mongoose

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Interesting. So are buffoon, gurrier, guttersnipe and communist. How could you get involved in a heated debate in the chamber without having those words at your disposal?

My biggest fear is rats. I woke up one morning as a teen and went to have a smoke out my bedroom window, I opened the curtain and there was the biggest rat I ever seen.
Turned out there was a nest under me fathers shed so we had to put it to torch.

    A mongoose

This is a slippery slope to ending up with a Lion in your attic.
