Old Head of Kinsale Open Days May 10 & 11

Hi All

Saw a sign at the halfway roundabout yesterday about open days this coming weekend. Not sure if it is for the golf club or for the actual lighthouse
I was out there over 10 years ago and was able to climb the lighthouse which was really cool

Anyone know more about this? Cant see anything online

It's the light house - not the golf course. They have an open day about this time every year. They do charge though - so I suppose it's not THAT open. It double up as a Lusitania commemoration - she was sunk about this time of the year.

Not exactly, you have to drive up the road left (leaving the Gold club), it's up there

I would be interested, weather and closing time dependent as I'd love to go up the lighthouse with the camera, filters and tripod in hand when the sun sets. I imagine they wouldn't be best pleased though.

That being said, if the weather isn't too bad I probably will go.
