    Wrong file format?

iTunes music is probably in the m4a or AAC format. The radio probably can't read it.

Just download a file converter. There's loads of free ones.

Try converting them to something like .mp3 format. Works for me in my VW which should be the same system used by Audi.

It will likely only play either mp3 or wma file formats, try add each type to see what it will play.

The other possibility is the file system on the SD card, you may beed to set it to FAT32 or NTSC for it to be recognised by the car.

How did you sort it? I have kind of the same problem, I put all my music on a SD card from Itunes to play in the car but for some reason it won't play most songs. It just greys some songs out and skips to the next playable song, completly random.

You need to ensure that the songs are encoded to MP3. AAC files will not play. You will need a transcoder to convert all of your non MP3 songs and they will then play. As some songs already play, the file format of the card should be fine which i recommend to set as Fat32.

    LameXP will sort you out.

Cheers mate, i'll try that. I thought that because it played some MP4 files it should play them all.

I highlighted all the tracks on itunes that i wanted to convert, then right clicked and click on "create mp3 version" then click on date added they should be the most recent and just copy and paste the mp3 versions.
