UPC Box won't recognise UPC card

    Hi all,

I got a second hand UPC box as I needed a box with a HDMI connection and UPC wouldn't give me one with the package that I'm on.

The box that I bought second hand is powering up fine, but then a screen comes up saying that the UPC card is registered to a different box and I can't get any further as a result.

Any idea how to get around this? Really don't want to pay UPC more get their 'HD package' when all I actually want is the HDMI connection (and not the actual channels)

Thanks for any help, much appreciated!

I thought UPC owned the box even after a subscription is cancelled, in any case you'll have to get UPC to pair the card to the second-hand box, no way around this.

Exactly, you have bought a stolen box. If you contact UPC they have every right to reclaim their property.

There are NO 2nd Hand UPC boxes of any kind other than from UPC. It's effectively stolen.

Return the box to where ever you bought it from and demand your money back as all Upc boxes are rented through the subcription period and must be returned once the contract has ended...

UPC cannot re-pair a different card to this box as no boxes are released back onto the public until they have been returned and checked for any defects etc...
