I do not know if this is the correct forum to post this, because there is a number of health forums.
My mom has diabetes, cholestrol and she gets pain in the arm and legs.
Now she goes to the gp,goes to the hospital for regular check ups and takes her meds and etc.
Now I am not here for advice, rather I am here on how I can contribute to her.
What can I do to increase her health, I do not know much about diabetes or which type she has(I am afraid to ask her incase she thinks I am worrying about her) I think she has type 2 because she got it in her 30s and she is a bit overweight so that are what most type 2 people have or get during that age after a little findings I had done.
My mothers family has lots of hearth problems, her mother died of hearth attack, her sister same story.
Now I want none of this to happen to her God forbid.
I go walking with her as much as I can, she does not like to walk on her own.
So the questions is what can I do to help her

    Hello iCrazy,

There are lots of resources for people with diabetes these days. I could offer more suggestions if you were sure which type she has. You might be able to ask her by saying that you wanted to learn more about diabetes for your own health? Or you might be able to let your Mam know that you would worry less about her if you knew more about her diabetes. :)

If its Type 1 then a good place for you to start is a free booklet called Type 1 Diabetes, Starter Kit.

If she is type 2 you could get in touch with Diabetes Ireland to find out if there are Type 2 Diabetes courses in your area for both yourself and your Mam.

Hope this is some help to you.
