Jaysus, you're right! I'd forgotten that. I do remember yer woman specifying the "Golly gosh" golly when she was telling me about it, so maybe she was mortified! I had completely blanked out the wrapper.....Oooh dearie me. That wasn't good. But the bars were gorgeous, mmmm.

I didn't see anything great about them. It was some ice cream on a stick. They were alright if you only had a few pence and couldn't afford a big block of ice cream.

Just basic run-of the-mill compromise ice pop. You really wanted a cornetto but this is half the price so this is what you're gettin'.

Loop the Loop was my favoured of the compromise ice pops, if not Calippo but I think that was more expensive and usually ended in a lot of stickiness

Sadly "Black and Tans" is considered an Irish drink in the US they don't seem to care about the name same with the drink called Irish car bomb its a disgrace. Many of the Americans who think they are Irish drink them.
