Hotpoint Aquarius dwf50 Dishwasher wont start cycle

    Our dishwasher wont start its cycle on any cycle, It just lights up prewash but nothing happens after that.


    There are no flashing lights so we have no fault codes, so don't know where to start looking


    Any suggestions

    Check for blockages, especially the drain pump, that's the pump the grey drain hose is attached to.
    Check that water is actually entering the machine, ie the mesh filter on the water inlet valve.
    This model is approx. 10 yrs old, right.??

    REMEMBER, POWER OFF BEFORE ANY CHECKS...!!

    does the door feel it is closing correctly as they can have issues with the door micro, if you think its ok then try holding the start button pressed in for circa 5 seconds and then retry, if still no luck its probably the pcb or a break in the loom down at the bottom of the door
