FIS And Maternity Benefit

    hey guys hoping some-one here can help im due to start maternity leave with my first child on the 19th of may and will just be receiving the 230e from social welfare i was wondering could my partner claim for FIS on just his wages or is my maternity payment taken into account as well hed earn about 330e on his 23hour contract?

    Your maternity pay will be taken into account, your wages for the 26wks prior to maternity leave will also be taken into account to calculate your 'income', say you earned 400 per week for the 26 wks prior and then receive the 230 for the 26 wks of leave, that gives you an average weekly income of 315. That would put your combined income over the one child income limit. In order for you to receive FIS your income in the 26 wks prior to maternity leave would need to be less than 122 weekly.
