Why are people even debating Suarez leaving ?

The club won't sell him , last year was the biggest chance the club stood of loosing him and they held firm and said no . If john Henry was willing to pay him 200k a week then you know the club will do everything in it's power to keep him .

They didn't sell him last year because £40m was an insulting offer, and £52m is just as bad after a season where he scored the same amount of goals as Ronaldo did. That's why I think this buyout clause gossip is complete nonsense. If they get offered £100m (or £70m + Sanchez/Di Maria etc.) I could see them selling him.

To me the most infuriating thing about him going to Barcelona would be that the gangsters shouldn't even be allowed use the transfer market, but the geniuses over at FIFA suspend any punishments handed out until an appeal is heard if a club makes one. In this case the appeal should have been heard before the transfer window opened because it is obvious to anyone with a brain in their head that Barca are just going to buy enough decent players this year to keep them competitive for the length of the ban. It's like me telling you that you can't buy chocolate for a year because you're getting overweight, but then you can just appeal the ban and buy a year's supply of chocolate so you can keep having some while you're for thr year you can't buy any.
