£25m is a lot of money for Lallana, but if he can reproduce his form from the past year then he will be worth it, all I'm worried about is if he will be able to keep up that level of performance or if he just had an exceptional year.

My OUT list % chance, of senior players as of now

    Reina 100%
    Aspas 90%
    Assaidi 90%
    Agger 75%
    Lucas 50%
    Borini 20%

I'd imagine the top 5 are all goners. Brad Jones and Coates too. Hardly going to be worth a fortune. Average 5M per player?

Borini isn't for sale though. Nobody wants Aspas. No-one will pay anything near those figures for those players.

We'll be lucky to offload Aspas on loan being honest. We dont have players to sell unless you go down the road of replacing Agger and Lucas. Assaidi may fetch 4/5m. Reina might get you the same.

Borini is for sale for the right price. Aspas is still rated in Spain.

You know that as fact? Who is he highly rated by in Spain who would sign him. Highly rated means **** all unless they spend the money.

Most of the Spanish clubs are not wealthy apart from the top 5/6 teams and couldn't afford Aspas over 4/5m, making Borini about 11/12m to reach your valuation . As it stands i'd be doubtful any team would match what we paid for both.

There are a number of people on twitter, who get some info from time to time. For instance one well known guy, had the story of Lambert well before anyone else. In this case it was because he knew one of Lamberts friends.

He is also saying that Borini is available if the club can recoup most of the fee they spent on him. Which makes sense, I don't think he is quite of the standard required.

    *rumour alert.

Southampton have turned down the latest bid for Lallana.

I think everyone can agree that Lallana is overpriced at £25m! People saying that we have Coutinho and so why should we pay that money for Lallana.

Well I for one would be very happy if the arrival of Lallana and the competition for a starting place pushes Coutinho onto the next level becuase at the next level he becomes world class and priceless.

£25m for Lallana now on a 5 year contract playing the rest of his carrer for Liverpool may turn into a bargain just look at the hate that was thrown at Henderson for his price tag!

He is now the first name on the team sheet after Suarez and has become a priceless member of the team.

Re; Lambert for £4M It's a now brainer! He is a guy who would give his last breath for the club who also is a very good footballer. I am kind of looking forward to seeing him and Borini playing together as I think they would work very well together in cup games and when needed in the PL and CL group games.

I've made my feelings on Lallana clear, but I suppose we could always hope he'll be a similar type of signing as Carrick was for United - overpriced, never going to be World Class, but put in enough good performances over enough amount of years to look back in hindsight and think it was a decent deal.

Rodgers clearly wants him badly, and if Rodgers thinks he's a perfect fit then I suppose I'm glad that he is seemingly being backed all the way.

But I would still maintain that the price doesn't match up with his age/track record.

The accounting union maybe should think of it this way - Sturridge and Coutinho were bargains so paying 5-10 million over the odds means little in the scheme of things. Also didn't we all jump up and down last summer when players were valued at X and the club didn't budge?

That's up to him. If they refuse our offer we move on to the next target. No point in having a summer long transfer saga

Not a nice situation to be put into. Especially considering he's been at the club since he was 12.

Southampton holding out for Spurs to come in. You cant blame them for try to get the highest fee but you would hope that 25m will be the last bid from us.

Stalemate in Lallana's proposed move to #LFC. Player wants future sorted before WC. #SaintsFC want to wait.

Is it a case of Southampton waiting for Spurs or a case of them waiting to get managers position filled?

Either way we should move on. Would love Lallana at Anfield but not worth wasting time to get him when there are other targets to pursue.

What's the transfer plan for Rodgers with regards to Lallana/Pedro? Don't they play in the same position? Is it a case of buying one or the other, or does he want to be getting both?

Id say at this stage half of Barcas team have been linked with moves away. I'l believe it when I see it.

I'm not a a fan of that carry on at all . Especially when an LFC player is at it so I'm not a fan of a player coming to LFC playing that game .

If he has a decent World Cup they think they'll be able to squeeze out another 5 million or so.

Then there is the Levy/Pochetinno factor.

You can't really blame Southampton. If a club were chasing Suarez I'd hope we would hold out as long as possible as well, and for as much as possible!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

There is no reason Southampton need to rush. They haven't even appointed a manager yet.

Lallana would probably have to push for a move if this deal is to be done before the WC. I have my doubts though.

So by that rationale Suarez is available.

So is Gerrard, Sturridge, Coutinho, Henderson, Allen, Sterling....

    So it's a bit of a half-baked statement.

Throw stupid money at any of them and they are available I think. Might yet see this with Suarez this summer.

The thing is all this 20-25m is being talked about in twitter, the press etc. I think it far more likely that we have not bid this amount and are not willing to pay 25m hence the standoff from Southampton. I think if there was a bid of 20-25m it would be done already.

It has been reported by many reputable journos that a final bid of £25 million has been made, that's good enough for me.

Alberto Moreno every touch video - hard to make firm judgement as Bolivia were massed behind the ball esp in the first half, but you can see his pace and willingness to get up and down.
