I'd say Rodgers has been watching him for years Lambert would have been the kind of player he would have liked when he was managing in the Championship.

Will try to find a link to it, but Rodgers gave an interview last year in which he praised Lambert, and he went on about how good a player he thought Lambert was. Might have been after they beat us last season

Edit: Some of it was up on twitter yesterday

Lads people really need to stop saying Twitter says.

I really like twitter and get most of my transfer updates from it and if I saw something that I thought was genuine I would post it here and give the source.

You might as well be saying the lad down the road said we signed a player.

Kicker had a mention of a bid for Shaqiri being under consideration. Saw it being linked on both RAWK and EST1892 earlier on today.

Is it the official Kicker feed? There was a fake Kicker account stating that earlier, maybe even last night...

The can-can music would actually be pretty cool as a chant!

    Na...nanananana-na-na-nananana-na-na-nanana....etc etc

Or the can-can song from Moulin Rouge as a pre-game song (starts at 2:10)!

    (Again, needs the dancers...)

Maddock (The Mirror) is sayng an offer has been received for Borini to the handsome sum of £14million, and that Pedro is our #1 target.

As much as I like Borini and think he can do a job for us, I'd take the 14 million and put it to use elsewhere.

I'm sure you would, ya thieving sap. But if you're robbing money from Liverpool at Borini's cost... I want in.

He isn't reliable though. The Echo & Barrett are the only 2 i trust.

    No he isn;t.
Indeed, don't expect Lambert to be Liverpool's last forward signing this summer. His arrival could well signal the departure of Fabio Borini for a fee of around £14m, which will free up funds for the "top goalscorer" Rodgers wants to add, with Barcelona's Pedro still his number one target.

Sunderland I reckon, I think he is well rated there. Fee is very high though. I have my doubts.

Do any of the more learned football chaps in here have any thoughts on Emre Can? I only saw one youtube video. I was the first time I have seen a youtube video make someone look terrible.

I think we'd regret selling Borini after a few years, he hardly got a chance at Liverpool with his injuries. He should be given this year to prove himself imo.
