Thats strange regarding McLaughlin as he is usual quite good going forward and needs little encouragement to do so

He's been Tentative since coming back from Injury. But that's to be Expected.

Echo saying Sevilla's Alberto Moreno is the number 1 target for left-back.

Apparently our friends at Chelsea are also sniffing around him.

    Sevilla looking for 15M.

There's a lot of young lads at the club who will never play for the first team.

I could just about see it from the East Stand, it was flying at around 2000ft so was about as useful as a Cleverly in the middle. Saw the message later on the twitter. How ****in pathetic can they get?

@JackSear: Barrett - It is likely that Agger and Lucas will be sold if significant offers come in. BR is in the market for a young holding midfielder.

@MrBoywunder: #LFC are open to offers for Alberto, Aspas, Reina, Coates, Borini, Assaidi and Suso. Kelly & Agger's future uncertain. (Guardian)

Can't see that many leaving even if those players are bit part players

Ibe was brillant today. His pace is a huge assest probable even quicker than Sterling.I'm sure in a couple of years he will be getting regular gametime in the first team.

Surprised Borini is on that list.

Any one of us could have made that out anyway. All very obvious, and yet nothing said is 100% committal, of course. Smacks of someone just writing stuff to boost the old social ego.

They won't necessarily all be leaving. Club may just accept the best offers for 2/3 and keep the rest.

Has anyone else heard about the Tevez link? Would two tapped South American lads in our team be one too many?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,637 ✭✭✭BMJD

No way would I be selling Borini, at a push I'd let him go on loan again but he looks like he has the quality to be a decent squad player.

Texeira was very impressive, had some great touches and looked very confident on the ball. It's a pity he didn't get 90 minutes out there today.

Aspas was poor, I feel sorry for the guy because he always comes across as being really enthusiastic about playing for LFC. I reckon a good 4 or 5 game run would bring him out of his shell but I can't see that happening unfortunately.

I read last week we would go for him if Suarez left.

Borini won't be sold . BR seems to really rate him a lot . To me the loan spell was down to fact he needed game time and sending him on loan was the only way for him to get it .

Not a chance will Borini be sold. That Boy Wunder has been shown in the past to be a clueless spoofer, I hope people here will realise it.

We do really seem to See different things in the same Game.

I thought Aspas was Good. Linked up well with the others, Scored a Goal, almost Scored another, while also setting up Ibe for his Best Chance.

And I also thought that Tex had a Poor Game. Yes, he had some Nice Touches and kept it Tidy, but he wasn't Influential. And I don't think he Created any Clear-Cut Chance. Which for a Creative Player, is Bad.

I heard a whisper from someone who is not an itk but has come through with some bits and pieces before and he reckons there is some significant movements in the pipeline.

The times is a more reliable source - they (Tony Barrett) have Agger and Lucas off

    edit http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/14/liverpool-brendan-rodgers-clear-out-champions-league
Liverpool's largely disappointing transfer window last summer is reflected in the availability of Aspas, Alberto and potentially Kolo Touré after just one season on Merseyside. A fourth signing from that window, the central defender Tiago Ilori, will be allowed to go on loan for another season having played for Granada on a temporary basis since January.

Aspas cost €9m from Celta Vigo but made only five Premier League starts – and scored only once, in the FA Cup – with his path blocked by the sensational form of his fellow strikers Luis Suárez and Daniel Sturridge. At 26 he does not have time to spend another campaign on the bench and would be open to a return to Spain.

Alberto signed from Sevilla for £6.8m after a protracted pursuit by Liverpool but did not start a Premier League game last season, making nine substitute appearances and two starts in cup competitions. The 21-year-old may also be considered for a loan deal while the veteran defender Touré, who started the campaign well after a free transfer from Manchester City only to struggle on his return from injury, has admitted he needs to discuss his future with Rodgers. The 33-year-old is under contract at Liverpool until 2015.

Liverpool are also open to offers for José Reina, Fabio Borini, Oussama Assaidi and Suso, who have been on loan at Napoli, Sunderland, Stoke City and Almería respectively, plus the Uruguay defender Sebastián Coates. Daniel Agger's position is uncertain after a campaign in which he was frequently overlooked by the Liverpool manager, so too Martin Kelly's, while Victor Moses and Aly Cissokho will not be retained after their respective loan spells from Chelsea and Valencia.

So then, not the mass clear out but potentially quite a few moving if the price is right - Suso is a surprise I have to say.

Schalke sold Rakitic and Ozil for a combined total of 6.8m euro. Maybe we should shop there.

Ah feck sake TFTF,could you not have waited a few weeks?

    :pac:

If we thought that previous transfer windows were bad, this one will be killer.

Wouldn't be sad to see Lucas go.
    Offers nowt.

Wouldn't like to see Agger go though.
If Toure goes we'll need 3 decent centre halves.

We can do a lot better than Borini.
