Shawshank was good but too many cliches for my liking.

    The third Godfather.

Wrong thread, the crappiest film ever made thread is thataway. >>>

Best film ever would probably be Toy Story, followed by Godfather 2, my best one though is Once Upon a Time in America.

I watched part III again recently as part of the boxset, it actually wasn't as bad as I remembered. Was always going to be hard to live up to the first two of course. I think with a few tweaks to the cast it could have worked better.

The Shining. The weird part is that I've never thought it to be all that scary but Jack Nicholson just fills the screen with his performance.

Thats a really tough question... have many favs but a few stick in my head more than others...

    Full Metal Jacket
    The Shining
    Apoclypse now
Let the Right One In (The original Swedish version not the remake...!)
    Caché (Hidden)

    A toss up between...

    - 1979 Russian film called Stalker
    - Terminator 2
    - Sideways
    - Romanian film about abortion - 4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days
    - Momento
    - Touching the void

    Persona
    Play Time
    Seven Samurai

I could go on, but these 3 just blew me away like few other movies have (even some I've loved).

Anytime someone tries to say The Godfather part III wasn't bad I use this one tried and true tale to tell them how wrong they are. Joe Mantegna played Joey Zasa in part III, he is also Fat Tony in The Simpsons. As Fat Tony he said a line that sums up part III, I ain't cried like this since I paid to see Godfather 3.

You are right about the cast, Andy Garcia should have been Pacinos son, not his nephew, and no way should Sofia Coppola been cast, she was worse than the girl that played Connie in the movies.

Downfall was pretty great. I love the first 2 Godfathers though. They'd be the best I have seen.

Schindler's List deserves a nod, One Flew Over also, Out of all the Batman movies Tim Burtons one would get my vote followed by The Dark Knight and Batman Begins.
