I'm at wits end....had mirena coil inserted 2 years ago under GA, as my cervix has closed as I've had 4 c/sections. I went back after 1 year, pleading to have it removed by consultant due to side effects, mood swings, acne, weight gain, stabbing pain, dizzy spells etc and to do something more permanent. They assured me it wasn't the mirena and I am not a candidate for surgery due to having multiple blood transfusions post delivery. I wasn't happy, six months on I attended the woman's centre and told them same story, they attempted without success to remove it and referred me privately for removal of mirena and ?essure procedure. Paid €140 to yet another consultant to be told again it's not the mirena causing side effects and essure isn't covered under private health insurance. So here I am 3 years later with no one to remove my coil! Has anyone else experienced this? Or could you recommend another clinic that might help? 😔

Hi there Cahere and welcome to boards :)
I'm afraid we won't be able to recommend a clinic as we are not allowed to offer any medical advice on boards.
Seeing as you've had no luck with various places, maybe I could suggest going back to your GP and asking them the best route for you to go down?

    Hope you get sorted,
    Sauve.
