    looking for somewhere to get formic acid for silage additive, can't find anyone supplying it. anyone any ideas

    WHY? Only additive round here the last 10 yrs is polyethene

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    a whole host of reasons, we use silage as the main feed as we are housed indoors all year so it's very important to get the best quality silage possible for us and using formic acid will get that perfect result regardless of other factors that would hamper the success of bacterial based additives.

    give them a ring on monday, some of priced some non corrosive add f before was 1800euro for a 1000ltrs application rate of 3ltrs per ton means it's 4.60 per ton to use. was looking for just ordinary no branded formic acid as it may be cheaper to buy, don't know why there is so much of a mark up on it, america and china have prices for about quarter that but you have to buy a lorry load at a time :(
