    Hi guys,

Just looking for advice on where to find the cheapest flights for a trip this summer.

    Details are

Depart Ireland 1/2/3 july to New York

    Return
Depart Los Anglese 28/29/30 July for Ireland.

Cheapest I have found so far is 868 for this trip on last minute.com flying with delta airlines.

Any advice on any websites or airlines that might be cheaper?

Skyscanner is usually up there with the cheapest.

Not much help, but I checked the ITA Matrix Software and the cheapest there is €929 on US Airways.

€906 on ebookers with Virgin Atlantic.

No multi-city search option on skyscanner though, unfortunately.

Would it make a big difference to fly out the 5th of July I wonder?

I'm heading out to the states myself for a week at the end of june, Dublin - New York - Chicago - Dublin. When I first looked at flights, I used momondo which quoted me between €960 and €1k through Expedia.

What I ended up doing was booking Dub - JFK, Chicago - Dublin with Aer Lingus for €780 and I got a one way from New York to Chicago for about €100 with Southwest.

Sometimes it is nearly cheaper to go to the actual airlines websites and play around with dates and you'd never you might get lucky! But having said that it is a holiday weekend in the US so it's going to be expensive which ever way you do it.

    Cheers for that.

Best i got was 762 with delta airlines.

When I went back to book it had gone up to 95o euro

Would it make any sense to try a travel agents or would they be pretty much the same price?

not much point in trying travel agents for airfares if however, you were looking for accommodation plus the flights, they might be able to get a cheaper price - but then you're tied in to a package.....

Just checked using US Airways, with stops in Philly or Charlotte for both legs you could get it for about €988

That will be the best fares to those dates however if you were able/willing to fly home form San Fran instead of LA then Aer Lingus will be 846 (3 July/28 July) and both flights are direct.
