Getting rid of "scutch" grass

    Hi all, I have lots of patches on my lawns, front and back, that my dad says is scutch grass, but has no idea how to get rid of it. Its all over the place, anybody have any suggestions

    really the only way is spray it off and re seed.
    to make sure it stays dead you will have to spray it, give it a good dose of round-up to make sure it gets right down into the root system.
    scutch can grow back from the roots alone.

    if you do this soon you should have a lawn back in about 8 weeks
