Proving employment from a liquidated company

Is there any records held that I could retrieve that prove that I worked at a particular company that liquidated many years ago?

I can get a letter from the former managing director, which is fine, but is there any other records, such as tax records etc that would prove I worked at this company? I have not kept the payslips. :(

This is for a visa application to a foreign country so as much proof as possible would be beneficial; as the assessment authority may be suspicious of an applicant claiming employment at a liquidated company.

    Thanks.

The Revenue should have your tax records. That should help.

Can you sign up for paye anytime- usually then you'll have access to your previous p60's, etc. I'm not too savvy on these things but it might help you.
