I'm provisional and want my mother as the named driver.
Do i fill it where it says ' Add Driver '?
Shes with axa and i'm also want a policy with axa. Thing is she already has a policy with axa and does it mean i have to wait when her next policy date is due to buy my policy?

Sorry just confused and sorry if this may sound stupid to others .

You should be able to get added to the policy at any time. If your online and it gives you the option to "add a driver" thats the option you want.

If in doubt give them a buzz

Still don't get it, otherwise i'd be buying two premiums with the mother with a premium which she already has herself.
Anyway so would she have to ring them up and ask to add me on it? I suppose theres no option for this online?
    Thanks

You are not being very clear.

Do you own your own car, you have it insured in a policy in your own name & you want to add your mother on as a named driver?

Or does your mother own the car, she has a policy in her name and & you want to be added on as named driver?

If it is the former, you must be the one to add on your mother to your policy. She can't do it, as insurance companies will only deal with the owner of the policy. You can do this whenever you want. Your mother will remain on the policy for as long as the policy is active. When her own car insurance policy expires doesn't have anything to do with being added on to yours.

If it is the latter, your mother must be the one to add you on to her policy.

If the Axa website does not you do either thing online, just give them a ring. Just remember, the insurance company will only deal with the person who is the actual policy holder. They won't let any third parties make changes to it, such as add on more drivers.

No problem, but your mother is the person who needs to ring them, not you. You are not the policy holder, your mother is. The insurance company will only deal with her

So you basically want to drive her car.
As said, get mother to call them and put you on the existing policy. You will likely need to pay extra but you will only now pay until the end of the current policy - not a full year.
